Synopsis: Every day, Rachel rides the train into London on her way to pretend to be working. And every day, she passes the home that she used to share with her ex-husband, before she started drinking and before he cheated on her. The fact that he lives there with his new wife and baby is killing her. She also passes the house a few doors down, where the perfect couple (whom she calls Jess and Jason) lives. She’s always wanted what they wanted, until one day she sees Jess  kissing another man. She’s devastated. A few days later, Jess turns up missing, and Rachel has a mysterious bump on her head. Why can’t she remember that night? What happened to Jess?

Review: After seeing the movie trailer when we went to go see Me Before You in theaters, I was intrigued and decided to read this book. As I’ve mentioned before, I have really enjoyed Gillian Flynn’s books and had heard that this was similar. I was not disappointed, as it had the human aspect of loss and confusion, the mystery of what happened to the people she felt that she had a connection with, and suspense as she wonders if she has anything to do with Jess’ death.
