Nikki and I have known each other since at least the fifth grade, when our families attended the same church. I remember that when I switched to the neighborhood school in sixth grade I noted which class she was in because it meant I knew somebody there! We continued to be friends and were in the same prom group our senior year.
After we went to different schools and graduated, we continued to exchange Christmas cards. A few months ago she reached out to get some photos of her baby girl and it was so fun to get to meet her and her husband and her baby!
