Transform your little one into the cutest pumpkin in the patch this autumn with my free Super Bulky Pumpkin Hat knitting pattern! Perfect for fall photos, Halloween festivities, or just adding a touch of seasonal charm, this quick and easy knit is a must-have for every mom, aunt, or grandma.
(Honestly, if you don’t turn your kid into a pumpkin in some shape or form over the fall season, are you even a mom/aunt/grandma?)
Materials Needed:
- Size 6 Super Bulky Yarn in a main color and contrasting color
- Circular needle size 13, cable 16″ or less if available
- Stitch marker if needed
- Scissors
- Yarn Needle
Stitches Needed
- K – knit
- P – purl
- s2kp2, a central decrease worked over three stitches
- I-cord – with four stitches instead of the three described in this tutorial
Pattern Notes
- This pattern is written in multiples of 4, so if you’d like a hat that is larger or smaller than that you can add or subtract 4. You can also size up or down in needles if you find that it is too tight or too loose, I am a relatively loose knitter and knit in the continental style.
